Happy Birthday TTU!

February 11th marks the formulation of TTU University! Today Tech turned 86..... And her popularity is increasing with each passing day! On this day 86 years ago, Governor Neff signed the bill that gave birth to TTU. In August of 1923, the same old flat, arid, lonely Lubbock was chosen as the official site for TTU! It took 2 years for them to erect the campus (which was considerably smaller then) and enroll students. Today Tech boasts to harbor one of the biggest campuses in the US and certainly is an architectural wonder. It has 15 branches distributed over Texas and in other countries too (Dallas, Amarillo and Seville, Spain)!

The TTU site rightly says that everything done on West Texas Plains is on a large scale complementing the large country in which this college is located. Infact if you do visit Lubbock, you will realize that its populated majorly by people related to Texas Tech in some or the other way!

Happy Birthday Tech.... May you grow with each passing year!
